518 kg cocaine worth Rs 5000 crore seized in Gujarat: The Special Cell of Delhi Police, in collaboration with Gujarat Police, arrested five individuals on Monday in connection with a significant cocaine drug bust.

This follows a joint operation on Sunday, during which authorities seized 518 kilograms of cocaine valued at Rs 5,000 crore. The crackdown aligns with the government’s Zero Tolerance policy against drugs and the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. A thorough search of Avkar Drugs Limited Company in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, led to the discovery of a substantial quantity of cocaine, highlighting the need for vigilance in tackling drug-related activities.

On October 1, the Special Cell of Delhi Police raided a warehouse belonging to Tushar Goyal in Mahipalpur, recovering 562 kilograms of cocaine and 40 kilograms of hydroponic marijuana. Subsequent investigations on October 10 resulted in the recovery of an additional 208 kilograms of cocaine from a shop in Ramesh Nagar, Delhi.

In total, Delhi Police has recovered 1,289 kilograms of cocaine and 40 kilograms of hydroponic marijuana from Thailand in this case, amounting to Rs 13,000 crore. Investigations revealed that the drugs were linked to Pharma Solution Services and originated from Avkar Drugs Limited Company in Ankleshwar.

On October 11, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) conducted search operations across various locations in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai as part of the ongoing investigation. Earlier, on October 10, the Special Cell confiscated around 200 kilograms of cocaine worth Rs 2,000 crore from Ramesh Nagar, where the drugs were found concealed in packets of namkeen.

Delhi Police reported that these drugs were recovered from a closed shop in Ramesh Nagar. A resident of Hapur district in Uttar Pradesh has been arrested for allegedly transporting the consignment. After interrogation, police learned that the individual responsible for storing the drugs was a UK citizen who has since gone into hiding.
