Days after two minor boys were killed allegedly by a barber Sajid in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district, the police on Thursday arrested the latter’s brother, Javed, who was absconding after the incident.
Sajid, who ran a barber shop near the victims’ house, killed two brothers and injured their third sibling on Tuesday, in a gruesome murder for which the motive remains unclear. Sajid was gunned down in an encounter when he tried to flee and opened fire on the cops.
An FIR was registered against two persons, Sajid and Javed, based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s father, Vinod Singh, at the Civil Lines Police station.

Javed, named as an accused in the murders, surrendered in Bareilly last night, police said.
In a video, he can be heard saying, “I ran straight to Delhi and from there I have to come to Bareilly to surrender. I have received phone calls from people about what my brother did…”
Meanwhile, the postmortem report of the boys has been submitted. Talking about the findings of the report, Baduan SSP Alok Priyadarshi said, “14 wounds caused by sharp weapons have been found on Ayush’s body, which matches with the sharp weapon we have recovered. There are two wounds on Ahaan, one of which is an injury on the neck.”

“The cause of death is shock and hemorrhage due to anti-mortem injuries. As far as motive is concerned, investigation is underway as per the complaint filed by the victims’ family. We are looking into all the possible angles, including if it was a case of black magic or not,” the SSP said, Indian Express reported.
According to the deceased’s mother, Munni Devi, Sajid had come to her house seeking money.
