A Patna-bound IndiGo flight from Ahmedabad received a bomb threat on Wednesday, causing a security alert at Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport. Flight 6E921, carrying 192 passengers, was scheduled to land at 12:45 pm when the threat was reported.
Airport officials immediately prioritized the flight’s landing as a precaution. Senior officers from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and the local police arrived promptly, and a bomb squad conducted a thorough search of the aircraft.
“The plane was searched carefully for about an hour, but no suspicious items were found,” said Santosh Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) of the airport police. Following the inspection, the flight was declared safe, and passengers were allowed to disembark.
Authorities have not disclosed how the threat was received and continue to investigate the incident. Officials emphasized that safety protocols were followed promptly to ensure passenger security.
