An explosion shook Bengaluru’s Wilson Garden around 7:45 AM on Thursday, killing an 8-year-old boy and injuring at least 12 others. The injured, including women and children, were rushed to nearby hospitals, with some reported in serious condition, according to local media reports.

The deceased has been identified as Mubarak. His mother was among the injured, while his brother escaped as he was asleep on a bed. Mubarak died when a wall collapsed on him and his sister. His father had left for flag hoisting when the incident occurred.

The explosion damaged 4–5 houses. Initial reports suggest an LPG cylinder blast, but police and locals remain doubtful. Forensic teams are probing the exact cause. Chikpet MLA Uday Garudachar (BJP) visited the site.

Most residents are daily wage workers in Lalbagh; many had left for work. Injured victims were shifted to Sanjay Gandhi and Jayanagar General Hospitals.
