East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh was jolted by an earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on Thursday morning, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) confirmed. The tremors were recorded at 8:05 am at a depth of 10 kilometres.

In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the National Center for Seismology (NCS) shared the details of the quake, stating, “EQ of M: 3.6, On: 28/08/2025 08:05:54 IST, Lat: 27.77 N, Long: 93.12 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: East Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh.” Further information is awaited from authorities.
