Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Tevar’ managed to generate only about Rs 35 crore in box office collections at the end of first week. From the opening day score of Rs 7.05 crore to Rs 22.05 crore over the first weekend, the movie failed to gain momentum at the box office and saw further drops on weekdays as well.
As per to latest updates, ‘Tevar’ has collected Rs 1 crore on Day 8, thus taking overall business to Rs 36 crore.
According to trade website Koimoi, the collections that the film managed to rake in were actually the bare minimum collections expected on the weekend itself, and not the whole week and since there were multiple films releasing during the week, it was even more difficult for Tevar to generate business.
It is unlikely that ‘Tevar’ will manage to touch Rs 50 crore, a pretty low figure for a Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha starrer. Sonakshi already has five movies in the Rs 100 crore club while Arjun Kapoor has one.
