The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced several initiatives aimed at enhancing commuter safety and traffic management on the Dwarka Expressway, according to an official statement released on Thursday.

To ensure the safety of commuters, NHAI has deployed marshals at major junctions and entry/exit points along the expressway to provide guidance and assistance. Additionally, extra road signs have been installed for improved navigation.

Two and three wheelers prohibited

Recognizing the risk posed by high-speed vehicles to slower-moving traffic, NHAI has prohibited two/three wheelers and non-motorized vehicles from using the expressway. Instead, these vehicles are directed to use the service lanes provided on either side of the corridor.

In order to ensure enhanced surveillance and safety, advanced CCTV cameras have been installed along the expressway to monitor traffic violations.

Emergency number

Furthermore, NHAI has introduced a dedicated Incident Management System, deploying patrol vehicles and ambulances along the corridor to promptly address emergencies.

Commuters can also avail themselves of assistance through the toll-free National Highway Helpline Number 1033 in case of any emergency or non-emergency situations.
