Northern Railway has decided to start special trains, apart from the regular trains, across the country during Deepavali and Chhath Puja. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the huge rush of passengers.
Apart from this, the Northern Railway has also shared a list of festival special trains that will pass through its network. Among the stations from where trains will either depart or arrive during the said period include Anand Vihar Terminal, Patna Junction, New Delhi Railway Station, Chandigarh station, Gaya, among others.
Anand Vihar to Patna
Sharing the list, the Northern Railway informed that Special Train Number 03256 would depart Anand Vihar station at 23:30 and reach Patna station the next day at 17:20. Trains will depart every week on Monday and Friday. Same way, Special Train Number 02391 will leave Patna at 22:20 and reach Anand Vihar the next day at 15:00.
While trains from Anand Vihar to Patna will commute from November 24, 2023 to December 11, 2023, trains from Patna to Delhi will run from November 25, 2023 to December 9, 2023.
New Delhi to Darbhanga
Similarly, another special train number 04012 will depart New Delhi station for Darbhanga every Tuesday and Friday from November 7, 2023 to November 28, 2023. The train will depart on its selected days at 19:20 and reach Darbhanga the next day at 16:45.
Another Special Train Number 09098 will leave Jammu Tawi for Bandra Station from November 14, 2023 to November 28, 2023. The train will depart every Tuesday at 23:20.
Other special trains
Among the other special train numbers that will run during the festive season include – 03636 (Anand Vihar – Gaya) from November 21, 2013 till December 9, 2023; 04678 (Ferozpur Cantt Junction – Patna Junction) till November 29, 2023; 04517 (Gorakhpur station – Chandigarh) from November 3, 2023 to December 1, 2023; 0462 (Delhi Junction – Barauni) every Sunday between November 5, 2023 to November 26, 2023.
