Western Railway has announced a Jumbo Block on the UP and DOWN Slow lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central stations on Sunday, 5th January 2025, from 10:35 hrs to 15:35 hrs. The block is scheduled to facilitate maintenance work on tracks, signaling, and overhead equipment.
Changes to Train Operations During the Block
In a press release issued by Shri Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, it was stated that during the block period, all UP and DOWN Slow line trains will be operated on Fast lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central stations. Additionally, some suburban trains will be canceled, and certain Churchgate-bound trains will be short-terminated or reversed from Bandra/Dadar stations.
Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly, as disruptions are expected during the block period.
In another announcement, Western Railway has also informed passengers about a block scheduled for 12th January 2025 to replace an RCC slab with a PSC slab between Siras and Banasthali Niwai stations on the Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur section of the Jaipur Division. Due to this work, several Western Railway trains will be affected, including cancellations and modifications to train routes.
As per the press release from Shri Vineet Abhishek, the following trains will be canceled due to the block:
- Train No. 14802 Indore – Jodhpur Express (13th January 2025)
- Train No. 14801 Jodhpur – Indore Express (11th January 2025)
- Train No. 12465 Indore – Bhagat Ki Kothi Express (12th January 2025)
- Train No. 12466 Bhagat Ki Kothi – Indore Express (12th January 2025)
