In a move to facilitate passengers traveling to Mumbai for the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Mahaparinirvan Divas celebrations, Central Railway has announced the operation of 12 unreserved special trains. These trains will connect key cities like Nagpur and Kalaburagi to Mumbai, easing the travel burden for devotees and others attending the event.

Nagpur – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai (4 Special Trains)


Four special trains will run between Nagpur and Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, with the following schedule:

  1. Special Train No. 01262 will depart from Nagpur at 11:55 pm on December 4, 2024, and reach Mumbai at 3:30 pm the next day.
  2. Special Train No. 01264 will leave Nagpur at 08:00 am on December 5, 2024, and arrive in Mumbai at 11:45 pm on the same day.
  3. Special Train No. 01266 will depart Nagpur at 3:50 pm on December 5, 2024, and reach Mumbai at 10:55 am on the following day.
  4. Special Train No. 02040 will leave Nagpur at 01:20 pm on December 7, 2024, and arrive in Mumbai at 4:10 am the next day.

These trains will have stoppages at various stations including Ajni, Sewagram, Wardha, Pulgaon, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Murtizapur, Akola, Jalamb, Malkapur, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Chalisgaon, Manmad, Nashik Road, Igatpuri, Kasara, Kalyan, and Dadar.

Kalaburagi – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai (1 Special Train)
A special train will also operate between Kalaburagi and Mumbai:

  • Special Train No. 01245 will depart from Kalaburagi at 06:30 pm on December 5, 2024, and reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 08:20 am the next day.
  • This train will halt at Ganagapur Road, Akkalkot, Solapur, Kuruduwadi, Daund, Pune, Lonavala, Kalyan, and Dadar.

All special trains will feature General Second Class coaches to accommodate large numbers of passengers.
