The National High Speed Rail Corporation is aggressively moving towards the advancement of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project. In a significant infrastructural achievement, a 160-meter-long bridge spanning the Kolak River between Vapi and Bilimora Bullet Train stations in Gujarat’s Valsad district has been completed.

Bullet Train Stations in Gujarat

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train route will have 12 stations along the route which spans 508 kilometers. Gujarat will have eight Bullet Train stations starting from the vibrant hub of Sabarmati in Ahmedabad, moving through Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Bilimora, and finally Vapi. In Gujarat, foundational work for all eight stations is complete, with construction of superstructures well underway. These stations are being equipped with state-of-the-art facilities: ticketing and waiting areas, plush business-class lounges, nurseries, restrooms, smoking rooms, information kiosks, retail centers, and comprehensive public announcement systems.

Several stations are also being developed as transport hubs, seamlessly integrating various modes of transportation such as autos, buses, and taxis. This integration aims to enhance connectivity, ensuring swift and convenient access to and from the stations. As the bullet train corridor takes shape, these stations not only promise enhanced travel experiences but also signify a leap towards a more interconnected future.

Bullet Train Stations in Maharashtra

Maharashtra will have four stations along the Bullet Train route, namely, Boisar, Virar, Thane, and Mumbai. Progress on the station construction is brisk along the entire route.
