Low-visibility in Delhi due to dense fog
The IMD has reported that the national capital has been in the grip of severe cold over the past three days, with Sunday marking the lowest minimum temperature of this winter season. According to forecasts, dense fog and cold waves are expected to persist in the national capital from January 14 to January 20.
The IMD anticipates mainly clear skies with dense to very dense fog for Monday morning, noting that it has been the longest duration of dense fog this season. At 5 am, zero visibility was recorded at the IGI Airport.
Meanwhile, on Sunday morning, operations at the Delhi airport faced disruptions as dense fog led to low visibility, resulting in the diversion of 10 flights, including 2 international flights, to Jaipur between 4:30 am and 12 noon. Additionally, nearly 100 flights experienced delays, and some were even canceled due to the challenging weather conditions.
