As part of India’s ongoing railway modernization, the Indian Railways is set to introduce 10 new Vande Bharat Express trains on September 15. These high-speed, state-of-the-art trains are expected to revolutionize rail travel with their advanced facilities and reduced travel times.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually flag off the new trains, further boosting connectivity on routes like Tatanagar-Patna, Ranchi-Godda, and Agra-Varanasi. This follows recent launch of three Vande Bharat trains on August 31, enhancing travel options in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.

The new trains feature upgraded safety systems, faster acceleration, and premium passenger amenities, including ergonomic reclining seats, mobile charging sockets, and KAVACH, a train collision avoidance system.

One of the standout routes is the Hubli-Pune Vande Bharat Express, which will significantly cut travel time between Karnataka and Maharashtra. This addition, along with the Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat, will bring the total number of Vande Bharat trains in Maharashtra to eight, strengthening high-speed connectivity in the state.

Currently, six Vande Bharat trains operate under Central Railway on key routes, including CSMT-Shirdi and Nagpur-Indore.
