Good news for rail passengers! Indian Railways has extended the service of Indore-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express train. Now, the semi-high speed train will connect Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The train will run between Indore and Nagpur.
In a statement, Dr Shivraj Manaspure, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), Central Railway said, “20911/12 Indore-Bhopal Vande Bharat express is now Indore-Nagpur Vande Bharat express. It is extended upto Nagpur….on permanent basis.”
Distance and Travel time of Indore-Nagpur-Indore Vande Bharat Express:-
The Indore-Nagpur-Indore Vande Bharat Express will cover a distance of 635 km in eight hours and 20 minutes. This is the fastest train on the route followed by RMM Humsafar Express and Trishatabdi Express. Both the trains take 11:05 hrs and 11:45 hrs respectively.
Frequency, Stoppages and Coach Composition of Indore-Nagpur-Indore Vande Bharat Express:-
The Indore-Nagpur-Indore Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week except Sunday. During its journey between two cities, the blue and white colour train will stop at four stations. These are – Ujjain Junction, Bhopal Junction, Itarsi Junction, and Betul railway stations. It is composed of eight coaches.
Vande Bharat Express over Central Railway (CR) zone:-
With the extension of its journey, the Indore-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express will become the fifth new age train running in Central Railway (CR) zone after CSMT-Shirdi Vande Bharat Express, CSMT-Solapur Vande Bharat Express, CSMT-Madgaon Goa Vande Bharat Express, and Nagpur-Bilaspur Vande Bharat Express.
Significance of Indore-Nagpur-Indore Vande Bharat Express:-
The extension of Indore-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express upto Nagpur will facilitate easy and fast travel between two cities. It will become an important medium to connect with culture, tourism and pilgrimage places of these regions. Vande Bharat Express will also provide a pleasant and better rail travel experience.
