Bihar on Sunday (September 15) welcomed four new Vande Bharat Express trains, virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These trains will serve the routes between Tatanagar and Patna, Bhagalpur and Howrah, and Gaya and Howrah, in addition to the Deoghar-Varanasi Vande Bharat, which will also pass through Bihar.

The prime minister flagged off these trains from Ranchi as part of a broader rollout of six Vande Bharat services. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also participated in the event virtually from his official residence at 1, Anne Marg in Patna.

Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with senior railway officials, joined the event from Kumar’s residence. Additionally, MoS for Railway Ravneet Singh Bittu attended the flag-off ceremony at the Bhagalpur station.

“It’s a new chapter in modern rail travel for Bihar,” Bittu remarked on X. “These trains will offer faster, more comfortable, and efficient connectivity. This state-of-the-art addition highlights India’s advancing infrastructure and our commitment to improving passenger experiences.”
