Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath‘s latest episode ‘WTF is’ podcast with Tesla CEO Elon Musk has released today. The duo discussed a variety of topics, including the ongoing controversy over the H-1B visa program.

Weighing in on the matter, Musk said, “America has been a beneficiary of talent coming in from India”.

Commenting on how the scenario has now changed, Musk said, “Under Biden’s administration…[the US] had no border controls…[which led to] massive amounts of illegal immigration…and created a negative selection effect.”

“The right [wing] believes their jobs are being taken by talented people…but my observation is that there’s always scarcity of talent…we have a lot of difficulty in finding talented people to get these difficult tasks done. Some companies [are trying to cut costs] but I think there’s been some misuse of the H-1B program…some of the outsourcing companies have gamed the H-1B system and we need to stop that but we shouldn’t shut down the H1-B program,” Musk continued.

Kamath had shared the teaser earlier

Kamath shared the black-and-white clip online, which followed a 39-second “funny” teaser from days earlier that sparked AI debates and queries like “How did Kamath convince Musk?”

Kamath captioned it, “Here’s to delaying gratification. The future belongs to the patient. @elonmusk,” teasing themes of patience amid AI content floods.

Musk’s message to Indians

In a message to the Indian population, Musk said he appreciates ‘builders’, people who “make more than they take”.

“Be a net contributor to your society…It’s best to actually pursue providing useful products and services…Money will come as a natural consequence of it,” he said.

Netizens react to the duo’s camaraderie

Social media exploded with hilarity. Users quipped, “The way they look at each other… it’s a business romance,” and “Stop calling this a podcast; this is literally a date.”

Memes targeted their “rich laugh,” with one user asking, “At what net worth does one unlock the ‘rich laugh’ audio file?”

Predicting digital chaos, one fan declared, “The internet is going to break,” while another added, “At this pace, even God may soon get a request from Nikhil Kamath’s team.”

Searches surged on “Nikhil Kamath Elon Musk podcast real or AI,” according to News18.

Kamath’s ‘WTF is’ (People by WTF) has hosted Bill Gates, PM Narendra Modi, and Vinod Khosla, positioning it as India’s go-to for unfiltered talks on tech and business.
