Western Railway (WR) has announced that there will be no day block on its suburban section on Sunday, December 8, 2024. However, a Jumbo Block will be carried out during the night to facilitate essential maintenance work on tracks, signaling, and overhead equipment.
The night block will be conducted between Santacruz and Goregaon stations on the 6th and 5th lines. The block on the 6th line will be from 11:30 PM to 3:30 AM, while the block on the 5th line will be from 12:30 AM to 4:30 AM, during the intervening night of Saturday, December 7, and Sunday, December 8, 2024.
This maintenance work is part of WR’s ongoing efforts to ensure smooth and safe operations of suburban services.
Last week also, Western Railway scheduled a Jumbo block on the DOWN Slow line between Marine Lines and Mahim stations. The four-hour block will take place from 00:15 hrs to 04:15 hrs during the night of 30th November to 1st December 2024
