Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (February 14) inaugurated the grand Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Mandir, marking the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, UAE. 

Upon his arrival, the prime minister was welcomed by BAPS’ Ishwarcharandas Swami, following which, PM Modi offered prayers and conducted aarti. The inauguration coincided with the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchmi.

“Today, the land of UAE has scripted a golden chapter in the history of humanity,” said PM Modi at Abu Dhabi temple inauguration. This visit marks PM Modi’s third trip to the UAE in eight months, emphasizing the importance of bilateral relations between the two nations. Following his visit to the UAE, PM Modi will proceed to Doha, continuing his diplomatic engagements in the region.
