In a significant boost for commuters in Gautam Buddha Nagar district and surrounding areas, the long-awaited Namo Bharat Metro line is taking shape, connecting Ghaziabad to the upcoming Noida International Airport. This project aims to enhance travel between Delhi-NCR and the new airport in Jewar, transforming regional connectivity.
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has conducted an extensive population survey to gauge the increasing demand for public transport. The insights gained will inform a comprehensive plan to meet the region’s growing transportation needs, ensuring the metro system is efficient and future-ready.
RRTS connectivity from Siddharth Vihar to Noida Airport
The Namo Bharat Metro route will span 72.4 km and include 22 proposed stations. Starting from Siddharth Vihar in Ghaziabad, the line will extend to Greater Noida West, Alpha One, and Noida International Airport.
It will traverse key areas such as Sector 71 in Noida, Greater Noida West (Noida Extension), Tech Zone 4, and Pari Chowk, further improving connectivity across the region.
NCRTC’s metro line set to enhance public transport
With a focus on enhancing transportation between Delhi NCR and the new airport, the NCRTC is leading this ambitious metro project. It is expected to significantly reduce travel time for commuters, providing a comfortable and convenient alternative to road travel.
The metro line is strategically designed to cater to the growing population and will directly serve air passengers by connecting to Noida International Airport.
Beyond benefiting residents, the project will facilitate access for professionals working in Noida and Greater Noida’s tech zones and commercial hubs, addressing the rising demand for efficient public transportation.
