In a move aimed at enhancing commuter convenience, Kolkata Metro will expand its Blue Line services starting September 5, 2024 (Thursday). The introduction of two new services will increase the total number of weekday services to 290, up from the previous 288.
The new schedule includes an additional service departing from Mahanayak Uttam Kumar station at 06:55 AM towards Dakshineswar station. Another new service will be introduced from Dakshineswar station at 07:54 AM towards Kavi Subhash station. This adjustment aims to better accommodate the growing number of passengers and ease peak-hour congestion.
