Key interchange facility at Majerhat station

The Majerhat metro station has added a noteworthy interchange point facility with the Eastern Railway. With this inclusion, the rail infrastructure in West Bengal has become an integral part of the state’s efforts to bolster public transportation and enhance connectivity in the region.

Recently, the mandatory inspection of the newly built Majerhat Metro station by the chief commissioner of railway safety (CCRS) was conducted. The upcoming Metro station was busier than usual this morning when CCRS, Mr Janak Kumar Garg, undertook a trolley inspection from Majerhat to Taratala station.

The chief commissioner inspected the entry and exit gates, AFC-PC gates, ticketing system, fire detection, escalators, lifts, signage boards, suppression system, and other passenger amenities along with interchanging arrangements with Eastern Railway at the station.
