The Delhi Metro services took a hit on Saturday, August 24, when the train services on the Red Line between Shahdara and Dilshad Garden got delayed due to a technical snag, the DMRC said.
All the other lines are running normally.
“Delay in services between Shahdara and Dilshad Garden. Normal service on all other lines,” it said in a post on X.
The Red Line connects Rithala in Delhi to New Bus Adda in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
The Delhi Metro on August 20 hit a historic milestone, recording its highest-ever count of daily passenger journeys. It surpassed its previous record of 72.38 lakh set on August 13, with 77.48 lakh passengers on August 20.
The latest data reveals that the August 20 figure surpassed previous record highs, including 71.09 lakh on February 13, 71.07 lakh on August 12, 71.04 lakh on September 4, 2023, and 70.88 lakh on February 12.
