The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced a revised exit plan for passengers at Rajiv Chowk station on New Year’s Eve. According to the new instructions, all exits will remain open except for Gate 5 and Gate 6. This adjustment comes in response to updated safety instructions provided by the police authorities.
Changes in Earlier Notification
Earlier, DMRC had issued a notification stating that no passengers would be allowed to exit from Rajiv Chowk metro station after 9 pm on New Year’s Eve. However, the revised plan now allows passengers to exit from the station until the end of services, excluding the two gates. This change aims to better manage the flow of people during the busy hours of the evening.
Updated Safety Measures for Public Convenience
The updated instructions from the Delhi Metro come as part of enhanced safety measures to ensure smooth crowd management. By closing two gates, the DMRC aims to streamline the movement of passengers while maintaining public safety during one of the busiest nights of the year.
