Runaya, a sustainable manufacturer in the natural resources industry has announced the inauguration of its cutting-edge Calcium Aluminate Plant in Jharsuguda.
With an impressive capacity of 12,000 metric tons per annum, this facility is poised to supply premium green products to customers across the Steel Industry. By employing green raw materials such as depleted dross, Runaya aims to drive a circular economy while reducing its carbon footprint.
The Calcium Aluminate Plant stands as a strategic addition to Runaya’s Green Aluminium portfolio, introducing the environmentally conscious RuCal Green Calcium Aluminate to its Steel Slag Conditioner segment. By the fiscal year 2025, the plant is slated to operate entirely on 100% green and renewable energy sources, setting an industry benchmark for sustainability.
Spanning 2.5 acres, the plant has a current production capacity of 30,000 tons per annum of slag conditioners, including briquettes and Calcium Aluminate. The company’s electric arc furnace is said to be fully automated for optimal efficiency and productivity.
Runaya’s Calcium Aluminate products are to promote environmental consciousness, and sustainability in the industry. While making sure to meet clients’ specific needs by giving them the required solutions, the use of single-source raw materials ensures product homogeneity.
The company also claims to support Waste to Wealth initiative, as it converts dross into value-added products essential for steelmaking, aligning with a zero waste and zero-discharge strategy.
