Former Tech Mahindra CEO CP Gurnani, speaks about the potential of his new venture in an interaction. Excerpts:

By when do you plan to commence operations and in which geographies?

The key officers in Singapore have already been appointed. Some of our delivery and technology centre of excellence would be based out of Delhi NCR, Hyderabad and Chennai. The two centres at NCR are now operational. Hyderabad and Chennai will go mainstream in six weeks. We want to be close to customers. Over the next three months, we will open offices in the UK, Paris in Europe, Dallas, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Canada.

What are the revenue projections from the business and funding plans?

We have been a little shy of giving financial information or financial forecasts. InterGlobe would be the majority shareholder. For our business plan, we have made sure we are not only well funded but there is also enough cushion.

Can you share the names of some of the customers and the specific problems you are solving for them?

The customers that we have onboarded at this stage are more about proof of concept. I think it will take a little time for us to move from a small experiment to an enterprise-wide experiment. But the good news is we are getting very good response.

Will this be only an SaaS-based offering or something additional like IT firms?

IntelliOS will be the core offering. Normally, what we have seen in the market is you cannot take consulting out of the business because people ultimtely  want the product to be synchronised with their own processes. So there is an element of consulting as well. We want to provide customer experience using AI with human touch.

How do you intend to solve the data sharing problem given that the TTLH verticals do not talk to each other?

One is you create enough incentive and transparency to break those silos. There are a few things that have happened in the industry, which are making it easier to break those silos. First, it is conversational AI. Example, an Alexa coming into your house. Second, there is a lot of focus on structured and unstructured data. Many technology vendors around the world have realised data needs to be harvested. The third part is hybrid clouds, that makes room for data storage on cloud. Fourth, it is generative AI.
