Titan Company, which just launched its second smart watch, aims to strengthen the portfolio by launching more products in the next one year. The company plans to launch an ‘affordable’ smart watch for mass consumers in the next one year, a top company official said.

Titan has entered into an exclusive distribution tie-up with Flipkart for smart watches. Besides, it also sells through its in-house platform Titan.co.in. “We have tied up with Flipkart exclusively for a limited period to sell the smart watch JUXT Pro. Later, we will extend it to other e-commerce marketplaces,” S Ravi Kant, chief executive officer, watches and accessories, Titan Company, said.

The company set up a new division to look after the development and sales of smart watches earlier this year. The new division is in the process of developing a variety of smart watches for the Indian market, he said. “We are working with technology partners to design and develop more smart watches. There will be a watch for women and a low-priced watch in our portfolio of smart watches going forward. We are working with HP for more devices.”

Earlier this month, Titan launched the JUXT Pro, its second smart watch, which has a full touchscreen and comes with customised app, downloadable on phones with Android 4.4 and above. Titan first launched a smart watch, Titan JUXT, in January this year and since then has sold over 10,000 units. These watches are priced between R16,000 and R19,000. The new watch JUXT Pro is priced even higher at R22,995.
