Larsen & Toubro (L&T)’s Heavy Engineering business vertical signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the US-based nuclear energy solutions provider Holtec International’s Asia arm. The partnership is to offer design & build solutions for Heat Transfer Equipment.
The company announced in its regulatory filing today. The agreement strengthens the existing partnership between the two companies. L&T is already working with Holtec on the global deployment of its Small Modular Reactor (SMR-300), backed by the prestigious 810 Authorisation granted to L&T by the US Department of Energy.
Focus on advanced thermal solutions
The latest collaboration will combine L&T’s world-class nuclear manufacturing capabilities with Holtec’s design expertise to deliver advanced Heat Transfer Solutions for both nuclear and conventional thermal power plants. These include power plant island systems and balance of plant applications.
The two companies will work together to develop reliable and efficient technology that enhances thermal regulation, maximises cycle efficiency, and ensures the smooth operation of power plants. The partnership is expected to contribute to the global energy transition by advancing sustainable power solutions.

The share price of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) declined over 1% in Monday’s trade. However, in past few months, the stock has ganied 19.93% in six months.
