“All our campaigns have been designed keeping consumer demand in mind and aim to provide the best shopping experience throughout the year. This summer, we have something for every consumer on Snapdeal… We started fairly early with our consumer durables sales – ‘Coolest Day of Summer’ in the month of March as that is the time when people start shopping for electronics. We saw a very positive response from customers towards this campaign and the consumer durables category on Snapdeal witnessed 20x growth on the day of the sale…” said a Snapdeal spokesperson.
“E-commerce players use these discount strategies to increase sales. During these periods, sales of e-commerce players increase by a whopping 200-300% at least, sometimes higher. E-commerce players do not look to sell the products at a profit but it definitely ramps up their revenues,” said Prashant Agarwal, founder and joint MD, Wazir Advisors.
“With The Great Indian Summer Sale, we are thrilled to bring to our customers the biggest shopping event of the season. Customers will enjoy a vast and exclusive selection with irresistible offers from our sellers that will make this summer season absolutely delightful,” said Samir Kumar, director category management, Amazon India.
