KTM, the Austrian motorcycle maker, has unveiled the 2016 RC390 at the ongoing EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. For people not in the know, the KTM RC390 is the fully-faired version of the Duke 390 and shares all of its components and features with the latter. The 2016 version of the bike has gone through some mechanical changes and is more feature-rich now, though there is no change in the design.
The 2016 KTM RC390 now receives a slipper clutch that’s already available in the Duke 390. The bike’s front disc brake too has become larger with 320mm diameter. Other new features include Ride-by-wire technology, a new aluminium exhaust and switchable ABS, adjustable front brake and few others.
Though there are significant mechanical changes made to the bike, the 2016 KTM RC390 continues to feature the same 375cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine that does duty on the current model. This engine continues to produce 44bhp of maximum power and 35Nm of peak torque.
As mentioned earlier, the vehicle receives no design changes save for the new aluminium exhaust. Since the KTM RC390 is already on sale in India, there is a high possibility of the 2016 model making its India debut at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo in February.
