Based on data for 2024, young men displayed a proactive approach towards their health with 50 percent of all consultations among men coming from the age group of 25 – 34, Practo reveals on the occasion of International Men’s Day.
The fastest growing specialties were Neurology, Urology and Physiotherapy, each growing by 14-15 percent (YoY) according to Practo. Additionally, Practo insights also suggest that in 2024, 27% of bookings made by men were for someone else compared to 5% in 2018. This reflects an emerging trend of men increasingly taking responsibility for the healthcare needs of their loved ones.

Men in the 25-34 age group represent the most proactive demographic, making up 50% of all male consultations followed by
- 18-24: 6% of total consultations
- 35-44: 35% of total consultations
- 45-54: 6% of total consultations
- 55-64: 2% of total consultations
- 65+: 1% of total consultations
Top Specialties among men with fastest growing consultations
- Urology & Physiotherapy: 15% growth YoY each
- Neurology: 14% growth YoY
- Dermatology: 13% growth YoY
- Gastroenterology: 13% growth YoY
Other growing specialties include orthopedics, psychiatry, homeopathy and dietician amongst others, Practo revealed.
