Tata Motors delivers 150 LNG trucks to Clean Green Fuel

The companies further have signed MoU to supply an additional 350 units of the same model.

Tata Motors have secured an order to supply 150 Tata Prima 5530.S LNG trucks to Clean Green Fuel and Logistics, in which the first batch of vehicles was handed over at a ceremony in the city and the remaining trucks will be delivered in a phased manner. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between both companies to supply an additional 350 units of Prima 5530.S LNG.

Tata Prima 5530.S LNG: Powertrain and Specs

The Prima 5530.S LNG is powered by the fuel-efficient Cummins 6.7L gas engine, delivering 280hp of power and 1100 Nm of torque, offering a range of over 1000 km. It is available in both single and dual-fuel cryogenic tank options out of which, the latter offers an extended range and improved operational efficiency, for surface transportation and long-haul commercial operations.

Tata Prima 5530.S LNG: Features

The premium Prima cabin provides driver comfort, and features like the Gear Shift Advisor help optimise fuel use, enhance efficiency, and lower operational costs. Additionally, the truck includes Fleet Edge, which aids in fleet management, improving vehicle uptime and reducing overall ownership costs.

Tata Motors has created mobility solutions using alternative fuel technologies, including battery electric, CNG, LNG, hydrogen internal combustion, and hydrogen fuel cells. They offer a range of alternative-fuel commercial vehicles across various segments, such as small commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, and vans.
