Mercedes-Benz India announces Emrah Ozer CFO

Emrah Ozer has successfully managed multiple stakeholders at Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv Turkey.

Mercedes-Benz India has announced an organizational change in its Finance & Controlling function effective since 1st January 2025.  Emrah Ozer, currently associated as the Member of the Board of Management and Head of  Finance & Controlling, at Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv Turkey, is appointed as the Chief Financial  Officer, Mercedes-Benz India.

In due course of time, Emrah would be inducted into the Board of  Mercedes-Benz India as Executive Director. Emrah succeeds Evren Cakabey who has taken over as the Executive Director & CFO, Mercedes-Benz G GmbH, Austria, effective 1st January 2025.  

Announcing the organizational change Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz  India commented, “We are excited to welcome Emrah Özer to Mercedes-Benz India as the  Chief Financial Officer and benefit from his rich expertise in managing International Finance,  business modelling and investor relations. We are confident, that Emrah with his diverse international financial experience and proven track record, will continue Mercedes-Benz’s  growth momentum in India.”

She had been instrumental in ensuring financial stability for Mercedes-Benz India’s ‘direct to customer’ business model (Retail of the Future).”

He added, “A thorough people person, Evren spearheaded Mercedes Benz India’s Diversity & Inclusion initiatives with focused project steering. Her financial acumen and insights, strategic leadership and people orientation are highly valued by our employees, and we all wish Evren continued success in her new role at Mercedes-Benz G GmbH, Austria.”  

Emrah Ozer has successfully managed multiple stakeholders at Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv Turkey, including banks, governments, and investors. He played various leading roles within  Finance & Controlling for Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Benz AG and Smart where he was responsible for the region India and NAFTA.

In 2012, he became Head of Product Controlling for the smart product group. In 2016, Emrah moved to Mercedes-Benz Turk in Istanbul. At  Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv Turkey, Emrah was instrumental in strengthening the company’s financial structure toward a profit-producing organization. 

Emrah studied Economics Science at the University of Wilhelmshaven, Germany, graduating with a Master’s Diploma in Economics. He started his career at the Finance & Controlling department at Smart GmbH in Stuttgart, in 2002. In 2008, Emrah became the Head of Project  Controlling for India & NAFTA.
