Emerging EV player, Matter Group has officially launched its mission, Aerathon Bharat, promoting awareness about sustainable mobility solutions, designed to be versatile and reliable across India’s diverse terrains.
The starting point, Statue of Unity, is not just a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, symbolising India’s strength, unity, and forward-thinking but also one of the early adopters of clean mobility solutions.
Aerathon Bharat: Details
The mission spans across 25 states for 25,000 kms, beginning from Gujarat. There will be halts at numerous landmarks on the way, showcasing the versatility and new experiences offered by electric motorbikes, serving as a platform to promote sustainable mobility, engage with local communities, and raise awareness about the pressing environmental challenges.

The founders of Matter stated that, “Our mission is to provide transportation that enriches lives while preserving the planet and delivering unapologetic electric motorbikes. Whether for daily commutes or adventures into new horizons, every ride should evoke a sense of freedom, not guilt about the future.”
The company aims to highlight the real impact of climate change, including ecosystem shifts, rising temperatures, and biodiversity loss, particularly in rural areas. The ride will also celebrate local changemakers and organisations committed to sustainability, encouraging meaningful dialogue and collaboration. Each stop will involve community interactions, where the company will promote eco-friendly initiatives like adopting electric vehicles, reducing carbon emissions, using renewable energy, and safe riding practices.
Founded in January 2019 in Ahmedabad, Matter is a technology startup focused on sustainable mobility that introduced the geared electric motorbike, Aera, which has a 5-kWh liquid-cooled battery and innovative features like a 7-inch touchscreen, equipped with internet-enabled features such as navigation, music, and the like.
