Dassault Systèmes has announced that axldrone, an India-based drone manufacturing company, has adopted its 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud to streamline design and production processes. Specializing in micro to medium-sized drones for various applications, axldrone has faced challenges in developing cost-effective unmanned drones quickly, while meeting the needs of sectors such as agriculture, cinematography, surveillance, and law enforcement.
By integrating the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, axldrone has successfully reduced manufacturing costs by 50%, design cycles by 30%, and time to market by 20%. The platform also allowed the company to cut development costs by up to 30%, thanks to the use of advanced simulation and design tools such as SOLIDWORKS and SIMULIA.
“The key reason we chose 3DEXPERIENCE Works is that it connects our organization’s most vital resources—people, software, and data—in a unified, secure environment. This cloud-based solution enables seamless collaboration and helps keep projects on track,” explained Iyvin Lukose, CTO of axldrone.
The 3DEXPERIENCE platform has optimized axldrone’s data management, leading to fewer design errors and improved product quality. Its design for manufacturability features has significantly reduced the need for physical prototyping and rework, lowering production costs.
According to Deepak NG, Managing Director of Dassault Systèmes India, the platform equips axldrone with advanced applications that foster a collaborative environment. “Axldrone is now able to efficiently develop advanced drones for surveillance, military, and relief operations,” he said.
This collaboration demonstrates how cutting-edge cloud technology can help drone manufacturers accelerate innovation while reducing costs, making axldrone a competitive player in the global drone market.
