According to an official release, The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) has onboarded Sharat Chandra, co-founder, India Blockchain Forum, as a member of its technical partner selection committee for the CBDC Digital GEL project. This development is expected to showcase Chandra’s role in advancing blockchain technology and fostering international collaboration.
The National Bank of Georgia recently announced its plan to select a single technology partner for the Digital GEL project, aimed at creating a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) for Georgia, as per insights from the official release. This initiative is expected to be a significant step toward harnessing the power of blockchain and digital currencies in the modern financial landscape.
