Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s forthcoming official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from February 13 to 14, 2024, holds immense significance for both nations. This visit marks Prime Minister Modi’s seventh trip to the UAE since assuming office in 2014, indicating the robust and enduring nature of the bilateral relationship between India and the UAE.

Notably, this visit also underscores the deepening engagement between the two countries, as it will be Prime Minister Modi’s third visit to the UAE within the last eight months.

In addition to his meeting with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Prime Minister Modi will also have the opportunity to meet with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Defence Minister of the UAE. This meeting underscores the multifaceted nature of the India-UAE relationship, as leaders from both countries explore avenues for collaboration and mutual benefit across various domains.

World Government Summit

In addition to the cultural program, preparations are also underway for the World Government Summit, which will convene global leaders and experts to discuss pressing issues facing the world today. Other heads of state attending the event include Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda, and Kenyan President William Ruto. Sadyr Japarov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Andry Rajoelina, President of Madagascar, Dr Mohamed Muizzu, President of the Maldives, Mauritius President Prithvirajsing Roopun and Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan will also be present.

Major players in the evolution of the technology sector such as OpenAI co-founder Sam Altman and Jensen Huang, chief executive, co-founder and president of the Nvidia Corporation, will also be present.
