In the news, it’s been reported that an emergency government was formed in Israel on Wednesday to address the conflict with Hamas. This comes after a series of terror attacks by Hamas fighters that resulted in the loss of civilian lives in Israel.
It’s been a tough five days, with many casualties reported, and Israel responding with airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. In addition, Israel has moved its military forces near the besieged Palestinian coastal area, possibly preparing for a ground invasion.
Reports also mention that Hamas has taken hostages, including two Mexicans, at least 14 Thais, and an unknown number of Germans. Israel faces the risk of a multi-front conflict as Hezbollah has been involved in shelling on the northern border with Lebanon.
Hezbollah claimed to have fired missiles at Israel on Wednesday, leading to an Israeli military response targeting one of their military observation posts in southern Lebanon. Additionally, there have been exchanges of fire with militants in Syria, particularly around the Golan Heights.
