Indian-American CEO Anip Patel recently took a 15-hour non-stop Air India flight from Chicago to Delhi. Post the flight he posted a video online, calling Air India’s first-class cabin the “worst” he has ever experienced.

“I had heard negative things about Air India in the past, but I was hoping the recent changes under new management would improve the experience—unfortunately, that wasn’t the case,” he wrote on Instagram.

The flight cost him $6300 one way. In the video he posted, Patel said things kept moving here and there in every compartment. Everything was ripped, ruined or had mildew on it, he further said.

“I understand regular wear and tear but this was next level,” he said. The video goes on to show that the warm towel given to him was in fact cold.

Patel went on to say that not all the items on the menu were available. “This was a food menu , it looked very promising, but of course 30% of its items were not available. They only have one of each item.”

He also complained that he had to rawdog the flight as there was no in-fligtht entertainment available.

He also complained about how there was entertainment available on the 15-hour long flight, and Wifi too. “Off no entertainment. The entertainment system didn’t work the entire 15hours,” he expressed, and added, “Everything is broken, they literally put tape on the walls.”

“There was no Wi-Fi, and the in-flight entertainment was down for the entire flight. First class was in poor condition—unclean, with leftover food and trash still in the cabin, and everything looked worn out or broken. It was a pretty frustrating experience overall. Be aware if you’re flying with them,” his Instagram post read.
