The new building at the Pune Airport will be having three spacious and top-tier lounges catering to domestic travelers, along with two designated for international flyers, Dhoke revealed.

Keeping in line with the quality of service at Delhi and Mumbai airports, the service at the lounges have been upgraded.

Airport officials stated that the recently inaugurated new terminal building, constructed at a cost of Rs 475 crore, will significantly increase the airport’s capacity to handle passengers while simultaneously offering improved service quality.

Services at new building

The services at the new building will include more and better food and beverages outlets,  increased restroom facilities, baggage reclaim belts, passenger lifts and escalators. Nearly 12-15 new food outlets, featuring international chains, are slated to be established within the 831.1 square meter cumulative area.

The entirety of space spanning across the ground and first floors of Pune Airport’s new terminal building has been allocated to contractors for the establishment of food outlets.

As per Dhoke, the building will have 12-15 retail outlets,  aiming to enhance passengers’ shopping experiences. “The outlets are being built and within a month’s time, they will be made operational. The vendors have been asked to bring in multinational brands,” said Dhoke.
