An Indigo flight travelling from Madinah in Saudi Arabia to Hyderabad was diverted to Ahmedabad on Thursday after the airline received an email warning of a bomb on board. As per ANI, airport sources have confirmed that flight 6E, carrying 180 passengers and six crew members, made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport following the alleged threat.
The aircraft landed safely at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, and all passengers and crew were deboarded so authorities could conduct required security checks. The diversion took place while the flight was en route to Hyderabad.

An email warned that a bomb had been planted on aircraft
According to the PTI, the threat originated from an email sent to IndiGo claiming that a bomb was planted on the aircraft. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Atul Bansal told PTI that Ahmedabad was the nearest airport at the time, leading the pilot to land there as a precaution.
Security agencies rush in after emergency landing
Bansal further added that the flight arrived in Ahmedabad at around 12:30 pm, after which airport authorities and security officials started the evacuation process. Local police rushed to the airport to assist the Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF) and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in scanning the aircraft.
After the evacuation, the security team conducted the search operation of the aircraft. As per PTI, no suspicious object was identified during the initial investigation. Authorities continued to establish procedures to ensure the aircraft was thoroughly probed.
