Highlighting the spiritual importance of Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami recently emphasised on the importance of drawing devotees from across the nation.

Expressing concern over the lack of direct air service from Dehradun to Ayodhya, Dhami outlined potential difficulties faced by pilgrims and devotees visiting the revered Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. As a solution, he urged Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia for air services linking Dehradun to Ayodhya, according to a report by ANI.

Daily flight from Dehradun to Ayodhya

In his letter to the Union Civil Aviation Minister, Dhami proposed the operation of a daily air service from Dehradun to Ayodhya as a solution to alleviate the transportation challenges faced by devotees.

The request comes in the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya, ahead of the upcoming consecration ceremony for Lord Ram Lalla’s idol in the Ram Temple, scheduled for January 22.

The grand airport, developed by the Airports Authority of India in collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, is set to enhance connectivity to the sacred city.
