The Ayodhya airport, which has been seeing an influx of visitors due to the Ram Temple ceremony, is expected to see approximately 100 flight arrivals and departures today.The consecration ceremony of the Ram temple will be drawing thousands of attendees. The list of invitees for the consecration ceremony exceeds 7,000 people.
What did the airport authorities say?
A senior Ayodhya airport official said that the in-focus airport might see around 100 flight movements by the end of today as people start going back after the ceremony ends.
By 2:30 pm, the airport had seen 18 landings, which included chartered flights, and 17 departures, the official added. A second official also noted that the number of flight movements at the airport could be 100 today.
The Ram Temple ceremony was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.
Yesterday, on January 21, when many visitors, including corporate heads and renowned personalities, came to Ayodhya, the figure of flight movements at the airport was around 90, an official said.
For the occasion, the invitees who arrived early today included RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Anupam Kher, Kailash Kher, Jubin Nautiyal, Prasson Joshi, Manoj Joshi, Sachin Tendulkar, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ravishankar Prasad, and Anil Ambani. Hema Malini, Kangana Ranaut, Sr Sri Ravishankar, Morari Bapu, Rajnikant, Pavan Kalyan, Madhur Bhandarkar, Subhash Ghai, Shefali Shah, and Sonu Nigam arrived in Ayodhya on Sunday.
