In an effort to solidify its presence in the Indian aviation sector, Akasa Air has entered into a 15-year long-term partnership with Canadian aerospace company CAE. The collaboration entails CAE providing Boeing 737 Max training for Akasa Air’s pilots at advanced facilities within India.
According to the release issued on Tuesday (March 19), Akasa Air will leverage CAE’s training facilities, trainers and latest-generation full-flight simulators for a significant amount of time.
This move underscores CAE’s commitment to supporting Akasa Air’s growth trajectory and ensuring the highest standards of pilot training. CAE has been instrumental in training Akasa Air’s pilots since its inception in 2022. CAE is in alignment with the airline’s vision for excellence in aviation operations.
CAE operates three training centres in India
With a robust presence in India, CAE operates 13 state-of-the-art simulators across three commercial aviation training centers, catering to the training needs of various airlines in the region.
Akasa Air boasts fleet of 23 Boeing 737 Max aircraft
Currently, Akasa Air boasts a fleet of 23 Boeing 737 Max aircraft, facilitating air connectivity between 20 cities across India. Building on its domestic success, the airline is poised to embark on its international journey, with the inaugural flight from Mumbai to Doha scheduled for March 28.
