This initiative aims to promote tourism recovery post-pandemic, offering direct connectivity from major Indian cities like Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and Chennai to key Asian hubs.

In a strategic move to enhance its brand presence, AirAsia has partnered with Qube Cinemas to introduce a unique “cinematic in-flight” experience across 130 cinemas in 12 Indian cities. This collaboration not only showcases AirAsia’s diverse destinations but also offers movie-goers a chance to win flights to any destination on its global network.

Paul Carroll, AirAsia’s Chief Commercial Officer, expressed gratitude for the support from Indian travellers, highlighting the airline’s growth with 10 additional routes added in 2024 alone. With over 20 daily flights across India, AirAsia has solidified its position as one of the leading carriers in the country, leveraging its extensive low-cost network to provide affordable travel options across Asia and beyond.

The airline’s recent awards include the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline and Best Low-Cost Airline in Asia at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2024, underscoring its commitment to service excellence and competitive pricing. Carroll emphasized AirAsia’s role in supporting India’s tourism sector by promoting the country’s travel gems globally, complemented by initiatives such as free visa programs.
