Tata group-owned Air India has announced that it will be operating additional flights to Kolkata from four Indian cities temporarily to match the demand during the upcoming Durga Puja festivities.

These additional flights will commence on September 20, with the airline operating daily non-stop flights to Kolkata from Bengaluru and Hyderabad for nearly a month.

It has also increased its frequency to Kolkata from Delhi effective August 15. Meanwhile, the increased frequency from Mumbai will come into effect on September 25.

With these new additions, Air India will increase its frequency on the Delhi-Kolkata route from 28 to 35 flights per week, and on the Mumbai-Kolkata route from 21 to 28 flights per week. These additional flights will be scheduled at convenient times, offering more flexibility and ease for travelers visiting family during the festive season. Additionally, Air India’s flights to and from Kolkata are timed to facilitate smooth connections via its hubs in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, providing seamless travel to and from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and several countries in Europe and Southeast Asia.

Bookings for the new flights are now gradually being made available across all channels, including Air India’s website, mobile app, and through travel agents.
