Air India Express has expanded its domestic network with the introduction of six new daily flights, enhancing connectivity from key cities including Chennai, Kolkata, and Guwahati. These new services began operations on August 12, 2024.

The airline has launched three new flights from Chennai, serving the Chennai-Bhubaneswar, Chennai-Bagdogra, and Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram routes. From Kolkata, two new services have been added, connecting Kolkata to Varanasi and Guwahati. Additionally, a new flight has been inaugurated on the Guwahati-Jaipur route.

“The new flights operate on the Chennai-Bhubaneswar, Chennai-Bagdogra, Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata-Varanasi, Kolkata-Guwahati and Guwahati-Jaipur sectors,” the airline said in a release on Tuesday.

AIX operates 380 daily flights

As part of the Tata Group, Air India Express operates over 380 daily flights with a fleet of 82 aircraft, including 54 Boeing 737s and 28 Airbus A320s. The expansion reflects the airline’s commitment to enhancing its domestic network and providing more convenience to passengers across India.
