German luxury carmaker Mercedes is bringing its ICE version GLB and electric EQB SUVs to our shores today. The Stuttgart-based manufacturer recently showcased the two SUVs offering electric, diesel, and petrol trims.
With a 13-SUV-strong lineup, Mercedes will have the largest portfolio of luxury SUVs in India with the launch of these two three-row seven-seaters. The GLB follows the suit of the GLS to become the second three-row model on the offering from the German carmaker. However, EQB is the first model in the luxury electric vehicle segment in India to offer a three-row seating style.

The GLB is expected to be slotted in the range of Rs 65 lakh to Rs 70 lakh, whereas, EQB is expected to get a price tag of Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mercedes Benz is offering a residual value guarantee of 61-64% on both SUVs, the EQB EV as well as the GLB. However, the buyback will be applicable on cars that are used for under 3 years and up to 20,000 km!
The German carmaker is offering an eight year warrant on both – the engine of the GLB and the battery pack of EQB EV.
The all-electric Mercedes-Benz gets a handsome WLTP range of 423 km on a full charge.
The Mercedes-Benz GLB has been launched at an introductory starting price of Rs 63.8 lakh to Rs 69.8 lakh (ex-showroom). The all-electric EQB EV has been priced at Rs 74.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mercedes-Benz will be bringing the EQB and GLB SUVs as Completely Built-up Units (CBUs) in India.

The all-new Mercedes-Benz EQB can be juiced from 10-80 percent in just 32 minutes using a 100 kW DC charger. On the other hand, it takes around 6 hours and 30 minutes to charge it fully from 10-100 percent using a 240V EV charger.
The Mercedes-Benz EQB EV and GLB SUVs will feature ADAS features such as blindspot monitoring and adaptive cruise control among others.
While the Mercedes Benz GLB follows GLS' suit to become the manufacturer's second seven-seater SUV, it, however, is compact in size and is expected to be relatively affordable.
The Mercedes-Benz EQB EV and GLB will feature the carmaker's latest tech-loaded Mercedes Benz User Experience (MBUX) suite.
The Mercedes Benz EQB will be the brand's fourth and latest EV in India and it gets a 66.5kW battery pack. At a full charge, the EQB claims a range of 420 km. 0-100kmph sprint is claimed in just 8 seconds.
Mercedes-Benz GLB gets a 1.3-litre petrol engine that belts out 161 bhp of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque. The 2.2-litre diesel option, on the other hand, will be offered in two variants – one of which will generate 187 bhp of power and an impressive 400 Nm of peak torque.
