Yantra Automation Private Limited, part of Rexel Group, world?s largest distributor of electrical and automation products, has decided to expand footprint in north by announcing opening of its first office in Chandigarh.
The company would target to generate a business of Rs 20 crore in the very first year of its operations in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthan. Matthieu Tixeront, Managing Director, Rexel India Private Limited said that ?through this partnership with Schneider Electric, Rexel-Yantra is entering the high-growth but highly fragmented, North Indian market for professional distribution of automation, control systems, electrical products and services.? Earlier a joint venture partner with Rexel, Yantra, which was fully bought over by Rexel in April 2014, has opened a branch office in Chandigarh to oversee its North India operations.
Yantra started operations with Schneider Electric, global specialist in energy management with a strong workforce of 17000 employees in India. The company is well known for its unique value proposition in electric distribution, sales for plant automation and machine solutions in North India and is targeting the pharma, FMCG, hard core process and machinery manufacturing industry. It has already touched a business of nearly Rs 200 crore in Western India and is looking to spread pan India.
