UST GlobalSM, CMM-Level-5 company focussed on Global 2000 firms, has signed a five-year pact with Ohio-based Dana Holding Corporation (NYSE: DAN) to give e-business application development and support services on its net and Java-based platforms. Dana Holding Corp is a world leader in the supply of axles and driving shafts.

The tie up is expected to increase operational efficiencies and lower total cost of ownership for Dana’s enterprise-wide, e-business applications. UST Global, with an offshore subsidiary in Technopark, has 5,500 employees working worldwide.

“Dana was looking for a global sourcing and delivery model to lower its operating costs, while providing shorter time-to-market for its e-business applications. In addition, it needed a stable resource support structure to provide a global delivery framework that could quickly ramp-up, when needed, to handle emerging e-business development requirements,” said Bill Umberger, director of IT Corporate Services for Dana Holding Corporation.

Through this process, Dana sought a supplier that would not only meet its e-business objectives, but provide a strong cultural fit too.

During the evaluation, UST differentiated itself with the e-business development requirements as a result of its strong reputation, fit, flexibility, and commitment to outstanding customer service, the a company release said.

UST Global takes pride in a business model of fewer clients, more attention. “Dana was looking for a company that would work collaboratively with its IT department and demonstrate a mutual commitment to long-term success,” said Mike Zerkel, general manager, UST Global.
