Allianz Ag and its local (partner Bajaj Autro have effected top level changes in their two insurance companies). Sam Ghosh, managing director , Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance and country manager, Allianz Ag has been shifted as the head, Middle East, Indias subcontinent & takaful.
Kamesh Goyal, managing director, Bajaj General insurance will be replacing Ghosh as the chief of Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance and country manager Allianz AG. Swaraj Krishnan, general manger, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance wil;l be now heading the company.
Ghosh is the third top insurance professional who has been shifted to the Middle East market from India. Earlier Dalip Verma, managing director, Tata Aig General Insurance and Anthony, managing director were shifted to Middle East from Indian market. Sources point out that insurance multinationals are now focusing on ME markets in a greater way and professionals with India exposure are found suitable for these assignments. However the top level reshuffle changes at both the joint ventures came as a bit suprising as both the life and general insurnace companies had done well under Ghosh and Goyal. Ghosh was was earlier heading the general insurance company and under his leadership the life insurnace company had moved ahead of the competitors to become number two among the domestic life insurers. The company has also recorded relatively larger profit in shor span of time.
